Dale Foster joins Wayside Technology Group with over 20 years of industry and channel experience. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Foster was with Promark Technology since 1988 and served as President since 1997. Mr. Foster held various sales and product manager positions leading up to 1997 and was responsible for the strategic direction of the company along with overseeing Promark’s national sales force. With the acquisition of Promark by Ingram Micro in 2012, Mr. Foster became Executive Director and General Manager overseeing the growth strategies of the Promark emerging vendor division.
Mr. Foster is a 1987 Graduate of The Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Technology in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Foster also holds an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Alfred State University.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mike Vesey joins Wayside Technology Group with over 25 years of financial, transactional, SEC reporting and accounting experience for both public and private technology companies. Most recently he served as Vice President of SEC Reporting for OTG Management, Inc., from January to September 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Vesey served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2011 to 2015, and Vice President Corporate Controller from 2006 to 2011, for Majesco Entertainment Company, a NASDAQ listed publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software. Mr. Vesey is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Finance degree from Penn State University. He began his career with the accounting firm KPMG.
VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Vito Legrottaglie was appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Information Officer in February 2015, after having served as Vice President of Information Systems since June 2003. Mr. Legrottaglie rejoined the company in February 2003 having previously served as director of Information Systems and then Vice President of Information Systems from 1996-2000. Mr. Legrottaglie has also held the positions of Chief Technology Officer at Swell Commerce Incorporated, Vice President of Operations for The Wine Enthusiast Companies, and director of Information Systems at Barnes and Noble.
VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF ACCOUNTING OFFICER
Kevin Scull was appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer in February 2015, after having served as the Vice President and interim Chief Financial Officer since February 2014. He previously held the position of Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer from January 2006 to August 2012, after having served as corporate controller of the company since January 2003. Prior to joining Wayside Technology Group, Inc., Mr. Scull worked for Niksun Inc. as Accounting Manager since January 2001 and, prior to that, for Telcordia Inc. since December 2000 as Manager of Accounting Policies.
VICE PRESIDENT OF VENDOR DEVELOPMENT, LIFEBOAT DISTRIBUTION
Mr. Bass currently serves as Vice President of Vendor Development at Lifeboat Distribution. Most recently, Mr. Bass was the Vice President of Channel Sales at Blue Medora and served as Vice President of Vendor Alliances and Marketing for Promark Technology, an Ingram Micro Company. He had overall responsibility for all marketing and vendor relationships. He had been part of the Promark Technology leadership team since joining the company in 2010. Charles was promoted to Promark Technology’s Board of Directors in 2012 and was part of the management team that successfully executed Promark’s acquisition by Ingram Micro in 4Q, 2012. Charles has over 26 years of sales, channel, marketing and business development experience in technology solutions. He worked at Hewlett Packard and LeftHand Networks where he was responsible for channel sales in North America for StorageWorks and LeftHand Networks products respectively. Prior to Hewlett Packard and LeftHand Networks, he held various sales leadership positions at Brocade Corporation, McDATA Corporation, and IBM.
Mr. Bass received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 1987 and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in 1990.
VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES, NORTH AMERICA, LIFEBOAT DISTRIBUTION
Tim Popovich currently serves as Vice President of Sales, North America. In this role, Mr. Popovich is responsible for leading and driving business through the US, Canada, and Latin American sales teams. Mr. Popovich has been employed by Lifeboat Distribution for more than 15 years, and, during that time, has held positions inclusive of Manager, Virtual Solutions Group, Sales Manager and Director, Inside Sales. Prior to joining Lifeboat, Tim worked for Depot America, a distributor of HP and Lexmark spare printer parts.
VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING, LIFEBOAT DISTRIBUTION
Patrick Castenie has over 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience in the IT channel at vendor, distributor and reseller levels, of which over 15 years are within the Wayside organization.
Mr. Castenie was appointed to the position of Vice President of Marketing in January 2019, after having served as the Senior Director of Vendor Partner Management since September 2017. He previously held the position of Senior Director Sales of Large Accounts since January 2016 until September 2017 and prior to that he served as Director of Sales for Lifeboat since January 2007, and Manager International Sales since April 2005. Prior to joining Wayside Technology Group in 2004, Patrick worked as Manager Business Development Europe for Actuate Inc., from January 2000 until December 2001, and for Logicsoft Europe B.V. since 1996, a European Large Account Reseller based in Amsterdam (currently Comparex/SoftwareONE). Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree from the Hoge Hotelschool Maastricht and a business degree from the University of Florida.
VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, TECHXTEND
Mr. Askew was appointed to the position of Vice President and General Manager of TechXtend in January 2017. He has over 25 years of diversified experience in the VAR/LAR community. In his current role, he is responsible for TechXtend’s operational strategy and leads the sales team, including the newly created education division. Mr. Askew has been with TechXtend since 2010 where he initially served as Senior Sales Manager before being promoted first to Director of Sales in July 2011, and then to Senior Director of Sales and Marketing in 2014.
